How it works
5 steps. You do about half an hour of the work.
Most people put estate planning off because they cannot picture what it involves. So here is the whole thing, start to finish, including the parts that are waiting on us rather than on you.
Pick your package and pay
About 2 minutes of your time
Every price is published on the pricing page before you talk to anyone. You pick the package that fits, pay for it, and you are a client. There is no quote to wait for and no meeting you have to sit through first.
If your situation turns out to fall outside the standard process, the intake will say so and you are refunded or handed to the attorney for separate legal work. You are told that before the work starts, not after.
Complete your intake
About 20 minutes of your time
This is the long one, and it is the only part that asks real effort of you. Names, dates, who you want making decisions, who inherits what, what happens if someone does not survive you.
Have your information to hand and it goes quickly. Your answers are the raw material for every document, so what you type is what the instrument says.
Your documents are drafted
Nothing for you to do
This starts by itself the moment your intake lands. Nobody has to notice it and press a button, which means finishing at nine at night does not cost you until the next morning.
The documents are assembled from your answers. Clauses that do not apply to you are left out rather than printed with a box to tick, so your will says what is true about you and nothing else.
The attorney reviews them
Nothing for you to do
Jon reads the drafts before you ever see them, and he is emailed the moment they are ready with the decisions that are waiting on him.
Nothing is automatic about this step and nothing is meant to be. It is the reason the rest of it can be.
You read, sign and store them
Nothing for you to do
Your documents appear in your client portal once Jon has approved them. You sign in with a one-click link sent to your email, so there is no password to remember.
Signing instructions come with them, including what needs a notary and what needs witnesses in Arizona. Your copies stay in the portal.
What we will not do
Hawthorne Legacy Advisors prepares standard documents from what you tell us. It is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. If your situation needs advice rather than paperwork, we say so and route you to Edward Law Firm instead of selling you a package that does not fit. That check happens at intake, before the drafting starts.
